I am in the process of moving, and I would like to give this building material away to someone who wants to build a canoe. I am planning to move on the 20th of March.

My address here in Winona is as follows:

I have some quarter inch steel angle iron that would be ideal for canoe building.

The steel sections measure as follows:

2- & one-half inches x 98” to beginning of curvature plus 8” inches of curve

2- & one-half inches x 104” to “ “ “ “ 10 inches of curve

Four 2- & one-half inches x 20 inches

Two 2- & one-half inches x 18 inches

Two 2- & one-half inches x 10 inches

The strong-back works for all canoe lengths (16 ft. - 18 ft.).

bulkheads may be positioned at any point along the strong-back.

Fastening the bulkheads to the short steel angles allows the bulkheads to slide

along the steel rail of the strong-back form. The steel rails are (quarter inch x 2- & one-half inch x 104-inch steel angle iron rails).

The bulkheads are then clamped to the form.

I got the steel angle irons from a piece of farm machinery (My father used to sell farm machinery, and he had old farm machinery that he was not able to sell) The ends of the steel angle iron were curved upward, and I thought they would be ideal for canoe building.

Very truly yours,

Mark Philip Loerch
